Faculty of Medicine CV Guidelines

As documents may be revised periodically, please visit this website for the most up-to-date version rather than storing downloaded documents for reference.

The CV, along with letters from internal and external referees and examples of scholarly work, provides the major evidence used during the evaluation of candidates for promotion.  Therefore, accurate and complete reporting of contributions and achievements in the CV is essential. Below is some general guidance and templates for preparation of the CV.

Request a Faculty Promotion Consultation

Faculty Promotion Consultations are intended for those faculty who have already reviewed our promotion materials on the OFA website and/or have attended a promotion webinar and still have major questions in advance of their potential promotions to Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor ranks.  Due to current resource limitations, we cannot provide routine consultations to trainees, candidates for instructor, or faculty not being imminently considered for promotion.  Please also keep in mind that the promotion process must be initiated by departments and the role of the OFA is advisory.

To request a session, please complete our online Pre-meeting Intake Form.
